This will be a post to add questions or comments about field usage and such. Here are a few to get started
Play Honourably!!!! I stress this one!!!!
When in doubt, call yourself out!!!!
What is the maximum gun velocity?
For AEGs/Automatic there is a set 400FPS maximum.
For Sniper/Single fire there is a 500FPS maximum. (Minimum engagement rules below)
We do allow a "buffer" for all players, say 2-5%.
What about .25, .3, etc. weights?
Using a quick conversion factor i made the following for AEGs.
.2g = 400fps
.25 = 350fps
.32g = 310fps
.5g = 260fps
Protection requirements: We honestly would prefer you wear full face protection but we do not require it, what we do ask is that you must wear full seal goggles ANSI approved to fully protect your eyes and a shemagh or balaclava to protect your face would be nice too.
NO SHOOTING GLASSES ARE PERMITTED AT ANYTIME. NO EXCEPTIONS ANYMORE .
Good goggles:
Unacceptable:
Can I use a Grenade/Rocket?
Yes, RUBBER, Escort, Deepfire and PFI grenades have a 10ft "death circle" from WHERE IT STOPS!
NO TENNIS BALL GRENADES WILL BE ACCEPTED UNLESS CLEARED WITH STAFF PRIOR TO THE GAME.
Rockets have a 15ft circle from FIRST IMPACT!
Players can jump onto the grenade BEFORE it stops to save team members, dont make us take that rule away... Rockets that hit a "reinforced"/covered bunker before entering will NOT count as entering.
NO REUSING GRENADES OR ROCKETS!
So and So isnt calling his hits.. (I HIT YOU &+$@*#!!!!)...
First, don’t be a whiner. We try as best as we can to monitor the games. Simply tell the ref on the field, we will give that person some extra attention for a little. Trust me most of you suck at aiming
If a player is being called by more than a reasonable amount of players as not calling hits, we may remove that player from the field for a game or more!
That guys is shooting hot
Tell the ref, everyone has the right to call ANYBODY! We will automatically rechrono any gun at anytime. Anyone who knowingly brings a hot gun, will be removed from the field for the day!
Do I need to bring food/water?
A basic Saturday game will provide a lunch meal consisting of Hot Dogs or hamburgers, chips and a beverage. Remember that this is the desert, bring water!
A RABBIT, MOVING TARGET!!!
Don’t shoot at the animals! We have rabbits, squirrels, lizards, snakes (yes!) and horses nearby. You will be removed and banned from the field if you violate these rules.
Im under 18 years old, can I play?
Yes, just remember to bring a guardian to sign your waiver. You will be treated just as anyone else, like an adult. We arent babysitters, and we will remove players who cant follow the rules.
Other Rules
No fighting.
Watch your language, minors are around.
No smoking on the playing field.
Dont use a bunker as a porta-potty.
No alcoholic beverages at all!
If its not yours, give it to a ref.
Hit locations: What counts as a hit and what doesn't.
Hits to any part of your body count as a kill
Surrender/Bang-Bang
• Whenever you come across an opponent within the Minimum Engagement Distance, and that opponent is unaware of your presence, or you catch them by surprise, you must call "Surrender" or "Bang-Bang".
The person caught off-guard must obey the Surrender/Bang-Bang call and must not return fire. Any non-compliance of this policy is a Safety Violation, and may possibly be ejected from the game upon staff review of the incident.
350-400FPS at a 10 to 20ft range will hurt especially if you are only wearing goggles, this is supposed to be a fun game, and we don’t want to see anyone injured. Now if two people come upon each other at 10ft range and both have weapons at the ready, a "Parlay" should be called, usually both players will move back 100 to 200 ft away from each other toward their respective lines take cover and then continue play
Blind Firing:
We DO NOT ALLOW blind firing, your head must be in a position to see where you are shooting next to your gun, or using your gun sights, i.e. firing in a normal manner
Cover and Ric.:
Shots thru bushes count as in real life, a bush is not going to stop a real bullet, however for airsoft if you are behind a bush and no BB's hit you i.e. they get deflected away from you or don’t make it thru you are fine!!!!
Shots that "Trickle" down onto you do not count, it has to be a direct, i.e. solid hit thru the bush, it does not matter if it hit a twig first a hit you can feel is a hit when thru the bush. A trickle or a bb that kind of falls on top of you because they are shooting at the top of the bush and it kind of lands on your head like a rain drop is gaming the game. I think we are all smart enough to know the difference here.
Ricochet hits only count in and around the Tower and Pillbox since we clasify that as being made of steel and or Concrete.
Ricochets do not count in sandbagged positions since in real life the sandbags would absorb the bullet and in real life all sandbagged positions are usually built two or three bags thick, The heavy bunkers with roofs are viewed as Hardened Bunkers made of thick sandbagged walls or concrete, and in real life would also have wood on the inner walls specifically to absorb bullets or shrapnel that got inside thru the firing ports, but of course a rocket or grenade or satchel charge that got inside would kill the occupants.
Again Airsoft is about milsiming more then winning or losing, and milsiming means understanding what the weapons would do to you in real life and "Acting" accordingly.
Special Weapons: Custom built items must be cleared thru us, I cant say what a custom mortar would be safe or not until I or Bishop see's it
Sniper vs. AEG vs. Springer: Sniper weapons come under either springer or gas powered or single fire only electric weapons, examples would be any springer or gas powered semi auto only sniper gun or a semi auto only electric gun like the PSG-1, common sense here.
Sniper weapon engagement rules Snipers with semi-auto or bolt action guns shooting over 430FPS can only use their guns at targets 70 feet away or further! Sniper must switch to a backup weapon, sidearm if the enemy is within 70ft of him/her. 500FPS w/.20 BBs is the maximum FPS we allow for sniper weapons.
Mag Limits/Carry Limits: For the most part at this time it is whatever you prefer using, since many companies sell their guns now with hicap mags as standard that is what most people have, there are op where I will limit the ammo carried or even ask for low or midcap mags only (Usually with a provision that players who only have hicaps may use one hicap only) We do have carry limits on grenades usually only two or three per player
Tanks / Armor
Some games we use simulated vehicles. Tanks are given priority from hits. Rockets must be a direct hit! Not within 10, 5, 2 feet, DIRECT. The operator can only be shot from an EXISTING hole made by the tank creator. Making your own hole by shooting wont help. We try to watch where the existing holes and players are shooting to count as hits. READ THE ROCKET RULE! |

Smoke grenades usually use a spark or heat source, which would pose a REAL risk to our field as well as the neighbors. No there are other ways to make smoke, but those can cause some breathing problems |

Pistols can be powered by any means. Co2, green, red, propane, etc.
We dont actively chrono pistols, hasnt been an issue. We just dont want people to be retarded and bring out some 500fps glock 17c (full auto).
pistols < 400fps |

| Hello everyone, I am quite new to big operations and rules or gameplay that differ from Airsoft Playground! So I need some defining. What is a tank? Is it a physical tank? How is it used in the game? Thank you all! |

Tanks are built from cardboard, or more often from PVC tubing with Tarps attached as a skin for the vehicle, Here is a good pic showing one of these tanks,
They are built to be picked up and moved by the guys inside which gives them the nick name "Romperroom Tanks" While this may not look as cool as having a real vehicle, they dont hurt the field in any way and you can actually "run over" players who may be lying prone in the wrong spot, without hurting them, and can also go anywhere unlike actual vehicles used in games, which must remain on roads or designated paths for reasons of safety. _________________
