First, thanks all who attended. Was a great day, with very favorable weather. Now for the details on the games:
Game 1: Coalition Collects Documents
US Forces starting at the Southwest corner (Base 1, Base That Time Forgot). SAS starting at the top of the hill (Mt. Suribachi). Mercenary forces controlling Tubruk (Point 3). SAS forces entered first, from an unknown location (if they would have kept their heads down ;P). Attacking the rear of the mercenary position. 7 minutes later, US forces attack the front of the mercenary position. Terrorist forces enter the game 8 minutes later. Coalition forces were not given data that mercenary forces were supplied with havy weapons (SAWs and Rockets). Coalition forces eventually gained control of the base, securing the location. Driving further into the territory until all opposing forces were eliminated.
Game 2: Capture the Bookkeeper
Coalition forces start at the East corner (White Fence). Mercenary forces at target location (Tubruk). Freedom Fighters supplied support from forward points (Alamo). Coalition forces gained control of the Alamo and were met with heavy weapons from the Mercenary forces. Long battles began at the trenches (gully). Grenades from both sides were in heavy play. Eventually Coalition forces gained control of the base, capturing the Bookkeeper (VIP). After securing the location, Coalition forces were ordered to the Extraction Point. Both sides were losing men. Coalition forces underestimated the forces they were fighting, failing to reach the Extraction Point in time.
Overall a draw. Total game time: 2 hours, 45 minutes
Raffles
At the end of the games we had our raffle drawing. Including: Free Games at Lenix, Tsunami BBs (Desert Rats), UTG AK47 (Sidewinder), UTG Dual Pistol Pouch (Sidewinder) and out main prize a Classic Army G36K (Desert Rats and Bring It On!) The best part, was that the winner of our main prize was a first time Lenix player, who did NOT own an airsoft gun! We didnt even have to rig it. ;)
Special thanks again to all who attended and have attended at Lenix.
Special recognition for a few people: Caleb & Kevin (Desert Rats). Jeff, Kevin, Joe and the other members of Shadow Sword. Ken & Julie from Sidewinder Sports in Apple Valley. Randy from Bring It On!. And all the people who have been there on a work day to bust their ass digging, filling sand bags and constructing the field. All the people who have donated sand bags and other supplies for us and the players of the field.
